Having a makeover myself made a believer out of me.
The very next day I was speaking before a group of people offering my services as an interior decorator.* Now I didn’t know any more about decorating that day then the last time I spoke. The only difference was I packaged myself better. But that difference made all the difference. I felt fabulous about speaking because I liked what I saw in the mirror that morning. I was more relaxed and confident and had more fun. Oh, and did I mention… I landed three times as many clients that day than usual. Our appearance really does affect everything we do.
As an image coach, I have worked with women in all shapes and sizes (not to mention ages and budgets). The greater the seeming challenges, the more I like it because the more amazing the results. One “60-ish” client told me that for the first time in her life she was getting compliments… even from people she didn’t know. Her husband wrote me a thank you note later. He said she was so much happier with herself, which made him happy. The ripples just go on and on.
I am back and forth between the Northwest and Southern California with both design and image clients. I’ve appeared on HGTV (Home & Garden TV), NBC and Fox.
*When I am not doing makeovers, I redesign homes (room makeovers using existing furnishings, etc.,) and staging homes for sale.
